WWE Will Release Documentary On Current AEW Wrestler

One of Tony Khan's biggest AEW signings will be the subject of a WWE doc.

WWE will press ahead with plans to produce a documentary on current AEW star Saraya.

PWInsider is reporting that the doc will fall under the 'Biography: WWE Legends' banner on A&E, but it's unclear whether or not the former Paige's decision to flee the WWE nest and sign with rivals AEW will be covered at all.

Probably not, but who knows - pro wrestling has been crazy for a while now, so nothing is impossible at the moment. Still, it'd be a bit surprising if Triple H let A&E's producers gush about Saraya coming out of retirement to wrestle for Tony Khan's organisation.

PWInsider also reports that several talking heads have been interviewed for the documentary, but that it's unclear if Saraya herself was one of them. It'd be a bit strange if she wasn't involved at all. However, perhaps her current AEW status makes that tougher than expected for A&E.

WWE started working on the film before Paige rocked up on AEW telly and came out of in-ring retirement. It might've been easy for Trips to cancel plans, but he seemingly wants to go ahead with the project.
