WWE WrestleMania 30: 10 Shocking Turns That Could Happen On The Night

2. Randy Orton

The Viper has had a rocky road as WWE World Heavyweight Champion, struggling to gain relevancy as a heel amongst such imposing forces as Batista, Triple H, Bray Wyatt and The Shield. In fact, it's looking as though after WrestleMania, Wyatt will be elevated to the status of the top heel in the company. Should this happen, there'd be just a few too many top bad guys in the upper echelons of competition. The only way to combat that would be to turn one of them, and the current champion would be the best choice. Not only would it be shocking, but the seeds have already been planted €“ albeit discretely €“ for Orton to turn. He has expressed dissent with the authority, arguing on multiple occasions with a lot of their choices and eventually bowing down when pushed by Triple H. WrestleMania brings him a main event match, which €“ if it's either against Batista or both Batista and Daniel Bryan €“ would provide the perfect moment to switch his character up a bit and keep him fresh. How could it happen? It'd be hard to turn Orton face in the wake of a title loss, but if that were to be the case, and Daniel Bryan were the winner, a simple post match handshake of respect and the noble handing over of both titles €“ to the dismay of the authority - would suffice. Should this happen, perhaps Batista would cement his heel status with a following attack or something along those lines. But even if it doesn't take place at WrestleMania itself, a turn should be on the cards for Orton soon on RAW, seeing as his character has been relatively stale for a quite a while now.
