1. WrestleMania ApeXXX - Daniel Bryan Wins The WWE Championship
Until Daniel Bryan was able to vanquish Triple H, his quest for the title was always going to be pointless. It didn't matter how many times he came away with the belt, the authority would find a way to get it back from him. That's what many of the detractors of his match with Triple H were overlooking. You have to attack the problem at the root. To use another pop culture metaphor, Aragorn, Legolas and Gimli could've hacked and slashed a million orcs, but until the ring was destroyed it would've all been for naught. Daniel Bryan is the hero the WWE fans have demanded. They've rejected Cena for years, they rejected Batista immediately, yet they remain near united in their support of Bryan. WWE would be absolutely out of their minds to deny their fanbase a Bryan victory at Mania. Ideally, Bryan would sustain a tremendous amount of punishment in his match with Triple H, creating doubt that he will be able to participate in the match. Then when he makes his appearance, selling his injuries like he was just pulled from a collapsed building, the crowd will erupt. Whether or not Bryan's popularity is sustainable and he'll remain a top draw for the company is unknown. We'll find that out in the months and years to come. This Mania moment is all about the here and now. Reminiscent of the culmination of Shawn Michaels' "boyhood dream", WrestleMania XXX has to end with Daniel Bryan holding the WWE Championship high, soaking in the roars of 70,000 YES! chants.
