WWE Championship
John Cena (c) Vs CM Punk CM Punk deserves a main event at WrestleMania and Cena needs to have his last! And thats just how Id bill this match! The storyline I would write leading into this match would be something built over the course of a year and hopefully, if youre not too bored just yet, I will go into it below. At Extreme Rules we have the monster Ryback challenging for the WWE Championship against Cena. To me Im not feeling this match too much but I would use the lack of interest to spring a huge surprise that will get people talking immediately. We are all fully aware that Punk is taking some well-deserved time off for at least a month or so but one secret appearance hear will get the ball rolling. During the match Ryback is a beast and is far too much even for Cena to beat single handed even if he is the resident Superman. Ryback looks as though he is only moments away from his first championship but just as Cena is on the shoulders of the big man ready to get Shell-shocked, a certain Mr Punk jumps from beneath the ring to make the save. With this no doubt having an Extreme stipulation, the match carries on and Cena claims the tainted victory. At first Cena has a look of shock and confusion on his face until the two embrace like long lost brothers and celebrate by both holding the WWE championship above their heads. A new era of Twin Powers Emerges and by gosh wouldnt it be fun! Throughout the next few months Cena holds the belt but they both claim to be true Co-Champions. Punk explaining his actions as he wants the belt on someone he actually respects after The Rock Disrespected the belt by no showing TV etc. The two work together to keep the belt until Money in The Bank where Punk enters and wins the briefcase under the guise of wishing to protect Cenas belt and not harm it. Going so far as to keep the briefcase at home and not in the arena, ensuring everyone he would go the full year until the contract expired without cashing in. The crowd will smell what is coming a mile off but having Punk react to such obviousness would be the best option. Naturally some time later Cena is involved in a match where the odds are stacked against him but Punk is there to make the save as will become a common sight at this point. The Shield take displeasure from such backhandedness and come on down to attack the pair, leaving Cena looking up at the ceiling from the wreckage of a broken table. Punk falls out of the ring, seemingly going to check on his buddy but crawls under the ring only to emerge with his money in The Bank briefcase. Thrusting it into the hands of the ref he regains the WWE championship in quick fashion. Afterwards the two then cant be on TV for more than a few seconds without pouncing on each other leading to the GM (whoever that may be) granting Cena a rematch that must take place on RAW that night and after that, they will not be able to attain number 1 contender status for a prolonged period as he/she is now sick of the pair causing so much destruction. During said match The Shield (now involving all 5 members I highlighted earlier) make it aware that punk has been pulling the strings since day one as they take apart Cena once again leading to Punk retaining and having breathing space between himself and Johnny Boy for the foreseeable future. A couple months later though, after both have feuds away from each other Punk drops the title to a first time WWE Champion (lets say Bryan), who holds the belt for a few months until the Rumble where Cena regains the belt. During the same event, CM Punk wins his first Rumble match and the two are finally set for a rematch after a long year for the WWE Championship at the grandest stage during WrestleManias 30th anniversary. Arguably the two biggest stars of the past 10 years colliding exactly where they should! Some could say that having Cena in his 4th straight Mania main event is just getting boring but the mere fact that CM Punk will be in the main event and, in my booking, dethroning Cena will cause enough hype on its own and be the highlight of what I believe, at this time, is the strongest Mania that could be. Let me know what you think in the comments section below as well as asking where certain other roster members are. I will be re-writing this in a couple of months time after we see some progression on TV. More than likely my entire card will have to be re-written but thats the fun.
