How on Earth can Roman Reigns have fans react to him the way the WWE wants them to react to him? As a babyface, the man is consistently booed out of the building on a nightly basis, and he doesn€™t have the skin thick enough to tolerate it the way that John Cena does. You can tell by his facial expressions that the crowd is wearing on him. He needs to change alliances and become the bad guy that most fans think he can be.

As Tom from Wrestling Memes pointed out, the fans may very well begin cheering him once he inevitably turns heel, as that€™s the type of character they want him to be. This, in itself, is problematic; you don€™t want fans to take a liking to a guy they are supposed to hate. If reforming the Shield is the only way to get a pop for Roman Reigns these days, then what is the way to get them to boo him when that€™s the intention? It might just be betraying one of the most beloved wrestlers in WWE history: The Rock.

The Rock was there the night that Reigns was supposedly anointed as the new crown jewel babyface in Philadelphia, PA for the Royal Rumble last year, hoisting the victor€™s hands in the air to a chorus of unfiltered verbal hatred. He was visibly taken aback. Would The Rock damage his ego further by getting involved in an angle where Reigns lays him out? Chances are he€™d take one for the team and do it, setting up a marquee bout for WrestleMania 33 right out of the gate from WrestleMania 32.
