There was a time when this match was considered an impossible dream. These two uniquely gifted wrestling talents seemed firmly locked into their positions on opposite sides of the world and even their non-stop campaigning for this very encounter didn't seem to increase the likelihood of it actually happening. So how cruel is it that mere weeks after Nakamura signs his WWE contract, Daniel Bryan is forced to retire from competition? Even if a match between these two was given no build and there were no stakes, they would have put on a show that would have never been forgotten and could possibly not be topped. This would have been WWE's greatest possible gift for pro wrestling fans and could have even bolstered WrestleMania's international appeal even more. But now it will never happen. It is just one of several potentially classic matches that could have been on the WrestleMania 32 card, were it not for circumstance and fate.
