10. NXT Takeover Special - Hideo Itami Vs. Austin Aries

Nothing against Austin Aries' scheduled debut opponent, but few men in the company would be better able to showcase what the "Greatest Man That Ever Lived" is capable of like Hideo Itami. With the exception of Daniel Bryan, few American wrestlers worked as well with Itami as Austin Aries. The two rarely got the chance to work singles matches, though, meaning that while their chemistry is off the charts, the matchup would still be just fresh enough even in the eyes of indie fans to feel significant. It also would have given Itami a skilled opponent to really showcase what he is capable of in the ring, too. The return date on Itami's injury is still unknown, but if this match could have been added to the already stacked NXT weekend then they may have never topped that card.
