WWE WrestleMania 32: 11 Reasons For John Cena Vs The Undertaker

3. The Rest Of The Roster Isn't Up To The Main Event Slots

One argument against Cena and The Undertaker filling a main event slot at WrestleMania, is that WWE are failing to give opportunities to new stars. To some fans, the booking is a bit WCW-eque, relying on old acts at the expense of bringing forward new headliners. The WWF at their best were all about ushering in new main eventers in WrestleMania headliner slots. But take a look at the current WWE roster. Who can really make an argument that they should be in a main event ahead of Cena and The Undertaker? Seth Rollins would have been a credible headliner. Roman Reigns is and he'll probably be in the championship spot. But beyond that, WWE (mostly due to their year round poor booking) don't have headline stars. Taker and Cena is one of the few money matches that Vince McMahon can deploy.
