WWE WrestleMania 33: 10 Things That Won't Happen

9. Chris Jericho Holding Onto The United States Belt

From May 5 until May 27, Chris Jericho's band Fozzy will embark on a 'Judas Rising Tour' of the United States, and that's precisely why smart money would be on a Kevin Owens win come WrestleMania.

The scheduling of Y2J's musical pursuits is smart; Monday Night Raw doesn't have a scheduled pay-per-view stop during Jericho's sabbatical, meaning he'd theoretically be available for Payback on April 30 and Extreme Rules on June 4. Still, the writing team would likely rather have the US belt featured weekly on television throughout May, and the Canadian will be absent for almost the entire month.

Switching the title to Owens makes sense, because then WWE don't have to worry about Jericho's time off, and can even schedule a rematch for his return. Penning another segment like KO thumping his ex-partner through the JeriTron would explain Jericho's temporary exit, and allow him to continue the feud post-Fozzy tour.

There's most merit to Owens (as a vicious heel) holding the title than Jericho, especially considering the latter's commitments outside of WWE.
