Sparkling throughout and delivering a truly defining moment for women's wrestling in WWE, the sheer skill exhibited by Charlotte Flair, Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch almost stole the show at WrestleMania 32; so fluid and smooth was the Triple Threat bout to crown a brand new WWE Women's Champion that even a Hell In A Cell match involving The Undertaker struggled to follow it.

Fans of the female ranks shouldn't be holding their breathe that 'Mania 33 will feature more of the same.

Neither women's match on the show looks poised to top 2016, and that's partly because WWE have chosen to cram both female bouts to bursting point with numbers; not only does the Raw match feature four women, the unfortunate SmackDown roster will joust for the spotlight in a match including at least six names.

The beauty of last year's Triple Threat came in the simplicity of it all, and the fact that three distinct characters were given over 16 minutes to tell a story. In 2017, that straightforward approach has given way to dilution, thus making both women's matches at 'Mania 33 mean less.
