13. Pete Price Is A Lizard

On Merseyside in Liverpool, Pete Price is a legend of broadcasting: he's been in the industry for 30 years and has become a walking meme since a sign reading "Pete Price is a Lizard" was shown at a wrestling event at Manchester's Echo Arena.

The sign itself refers back to an incident when he tried to book infamous weirdo David Icke on his show - who believes the royal family are lizards in human skin costumes obviously - only for him to cancel when a prank caller rang up and started accusing Price of being a lizard. He reacted with such hilarious fury that it went viral and he's now haunted forever.

No doubt he's going to be delighted with this latest step on the lizard adventure, given what he told the Liverpool Echo about the "bullying":

"What I don't like is when people are two faced - they come up to me and ask for a selfie and then I can count to 10 and I hear 'PETE YOU'RE A LIZARD!' - it's just two faced and it's cowardly.
"As I'm out and about in town I can spot the people that are going to call me a lizard, I'm walking through town and I count them in my head. I can spot them a mile off."
