Result: Trips nails Batista with a second Pedigree to score the pin (23:45).

Rating: Well, this was a car crash as pretty much everybody expected, both for better and worse. Batista seemed oddly out of sorts for long stretches of the match and it really fell to Trips to do a lot of the heavy lifting here (literally and figuratively).

Smartly it wasn't focused on finessed wrestling but a throwback deathmatch of sorts, with most of the brutal spots delivering, even if it sometimes lurched into overt silliness (the nose stud spot, for one).

At almost 25 minutes in length it was definitely self-indulgent and, of course, it's tough not to chuckle at the self-serving nature of Trips' nostalgia-fest matches, but it was fine enough. 5/10
