It remains to be seen if wrestling fans will embrace the thought of Edge being a heel in 2022. His comeback story was so powerful and so emotional that it's a tough sell, but he's a magician on the mic and good enough to pull it off. He'll need WWE's creative backing though.

Meanwhile, AJ Styles is going through a transitional period himself. He was expected to hold Omos' hand for so long that he's in limbo as a singles star these days. Fans seem eager to cheer him, but sympathy for Edge makes this an odd-feeling match up for WrestleMania 38.

Regardless, it's one Edge must win.

The absence of a World Title on Raw (more on that later) means WWE will need as many top stars as they can muster to make feuds mean something post-show. Edge will have a blast if he's allowed creative freedom as a heel, but he needs to look like a threat if that's going to work.
