SmackDown announcer Pat McAfee also has the chops to get nasty.

People like McAfee's energy behind the desk on Fridays. He's improved WWE's commentary immeasurably, because the dude actually says things that don't sound scripted. Pat deserves this opportunity, and he'll grasp it with both hands by scoring a victory over young Austin Theory.

Theory will be fine even in defeat - he has his whole career ahead of him, and it won't be defined by staring at the lights in a midcard bout like this one. Yeah, the more this writer thinks about it, the more sense it makes that McAfee gets the win, p*sses off Vince and moves forwards from there.

Austin's business dealings with the boss were always going to be temporary anyway. Those skits only existed to help bed him in on the main roster, so a loss to Pat won't totally derail Theory's run. This is an easy babyface pop waiting to happen.
