9. Austin Theory Vs. Pat McAfee
Result: McAfee rolls up Theory for the win (9:40).
Rating: Somehow the Mania celebrity matches all turned out surprisingly well. While not a great bout this was moderately enjoyable, largely because McAfee's got such a larger-than-life ring presence and the crowd ate it up.
However nothing here was more over than McAfee's entrance theme, The White Stripes' "Seven Nation Army", which the crowd lovingly chanted numerous times throughout the match.
You knew where it was going and there weren't many surprises along the way - apart from McAfee's Moonsault, perhaps - but it did what it needed to and we all moved on.
There were some great near-falls, and the right guy won for a fun Mania moment that the crowd went wild for. Any mild frustration about Theory losing evaporated once it became clear what was coming next. 6/10
