The show opened with Batista doing his best Morgan Freeman.

Sure, it's unlikely most missed the fact that big Dave was on hand for the intro, but his style was very Freeman. That's not a bad thing - in fact, as DDP used to say, it's a good thing. Batista excelled during the opening video package, and it was cool to have his star power involved.
