WWE WrestleMania Backlash 2022: 10 Nightmares That Could Come True

3. RK-Bro Tease Friction

Watch enough WWE telly and you'll notice a few crutches. Opening promo trains are one, and the same could be said for tag-teams working interchangeable singles matches before pay-per-views. Then, perhaps most of all, there's the split story.

Oh, how those writers bloody love a split story.

Y'know what they adore even more than following through on them? Teasing the suckers. Los Lotharios and the Jinder Mahal/Shanky duo both teased friction on SmackDown lately, and WWE might not be done quite yet. They could realistically storyboard some tension between RK-Bro lads Randy Orton and Riddle come Backlash.

Nobody really wants to see it, but the Raw Tag-Team Champions have been here before. Also, they've got a unification bout coming up against The Usos at some stage. Creative's main plan for that could be presenting Jimmy and Jey as the united front, then implying that there's trouble in paradise for the faces.

It'd be the laziest way to go with the story.
