WWE has decided to replace Carlito for Saturday's Survivor Series: WarGames PLE. The returning veteran won't be wrestling ex-LWO cohort Santos Escobar on the show after all.

Dragon Lee has been installed as Carlito's last-minute replacement. This appears to be a creative decision more than one necessitated by a real-life situation. WWE shot a wild brawl angle between Carlito and Escobar before SmackDown GM Nick Aldis revealed that the former was out with a kayfabe injury.

That's when Lee stepped up to the plate and put his own name forward for the match vs. Santos. Aldis agreed, and the bout has been officially confirmed by the company.

It's possible that WWE fancies holding off on Carlito vs. Escobar just a little bit longer. Their story hinges on Rey Mysterio's availability, and it could be a while before the legend is able to return from knee surgery anyway. So, Triple H has exercised his right to hit the 'card subject to change' button and try something a little different.

This is Dragon's biggest WWE match by a long, long way. Fingers crossed he's able to turn heads at Survivor Series.
