Undoubtedly the best tag team manager of all time, Captain Lou was truly one of a kind. He was totally crazy, but at the same time an oddly lovable character. The Wild Samoans, The Headshrinkers, The British Bulldogs, and so many other tag teams thrived when Captain Lou was in their corner. Not only was Captain Lou a great manager, but he also help put WrestleMania on the map by forming the Rock 'n' Wrestling connection. After meeting pop star, Cyndi Lauper, he appeared in one of her music videos, which brought about her involvement in the first WrestleMania. Captain Lou not only helped add star power to the biggest wrestling event ever (at the time), but subsequently gave the WWE more widespread exposure. This endorsement helped establish WrestleMania as not just a wrestling show, but also a show featuring high profile celebrities, a trend that continues today. Captain Lou is now an iconic part of professional wrestling, when people think of wrestling managers from the 1980's, Lou Albano is surely one of the first names to pop into their heads.
Brandon Tischer is an avid wrestling fan who has been watching since he was a kid. He, along with his friends, have made a pact to never miss a Wrestlemania together.
