WWE's 10 Greatest On Screen Weddings

2. Kane And Lita

Kane and Lita were set to marry on the August 23, 2004 edition of Raw. It wasn't a wedding that Lita wanted because she was in love with Matt Hardy, but thanks to a ridiculous storyline she was forced to marry Kane. The ring boy and flower girl were little people instead of children. There was an orchestra on the stage while Kane wore a white suit and Lita wore a black dress, which obviously weren't the normal colors for a groom or bride. Like most WWE weddings, there were interruptions. Raw GM Eric Bischoff showed up to read a passage from the bible while Trish Stratus helped to steal the show by wearing an amazing white dress as the self proclaimed maid of honor. When WWE uploaded the video on Youtube in 2013, they edited out the interruption by Stratus. Was her dress not PG? WWE wasn't PG at the time, so maybe that's why they skipped it. The vows were different as Kane told Lita that she was his property and there would be no escape for her. Kane: "You are mine." She told Kane that he was a vile, horrible man with no soul and even though she has no choice to marry, she wants to make it clear that she loves and will always love Matt Hardy. Lita: "I sincerely hope you rot in hell." At least she was sincere about it! When the minister asked them if they would take the other as husband/wife, Lita said "I do" while Matt Hardy's music started up before Kane could say anything. Hardy attacked Kane and nailed him with a Twist of Fate, but Kane set up a wall of fire at the top of the ramp to prevent Hardy from leaving with Lita. Kane gave Hardy a Chokeslam off the ramp onto a table below. Then he went back into the ring (or altar in this case), said "I do" and they were officially married. It was unofficially nicknamed the "Wedding From Hell" with good reason.
