Wresting is a manly profession. It’s all about toughness, determination, and violence. All of those things are what make a wrestler a wrestler. So what would you consider the exact opposite of a wrestler if those are what you use to describes one?
A ballroom dancer.
WWE obviously saw something in him, which is why they made the decision to have him defeat Chris Jericho at WrestleMania XXIX. This is the same Chris Jericho who’s been wrestling for 20+ years, has numerous championship accolades, and is generally considered one of the best wrestlers alive today. They had a ballroom dancer defeat him on the biggest stage of them all.
While that might not be all bad, the true crime is not continuing his momentum afterwards. Another example of Vince McMahon getting tired of a guy, Fandango was relegated to the low card faster than he could say his own name.
Will things get better now that he has dropped his supposedly ‘new-and-improved’ entrance and gone back to what made fans actually react? No one can know for sure.
