WWE's 53 Wrestlers Ranked From Worst To Best

40. The Ascension (Konnor & Viktor)

Pros:

1. Former NXT Tag Team Champions with the longest reign in that title’s history

2. They have an intimidating look

3. Great entrance

Cons:

1. Weak-looking tag team finisher

2. Resemble the Road Warriors/Legion of Doom too much

3. Have barely been pushed since debuting on WWE’s main roster

At first glance, one would think that the Ascension were the ideal tag team. They have similar yet distinct looks, are generally intimidating (especially when you hear their voices) and have credibility as the longest-reigning NXT Tag Team Champions in history. All of that should translate into a successful team on RAW.

Sadly, that has not been the case. Maybe it was them insulting the Legion of Doom in a promo, or maybe it’s because they actually resemble LOD in many ways, but what matters is that the Ascension have been buried consistently since their main roster debut.

Instead of being treated as a big deal like they were in NXT, they’ve been constantly put in short matches (where wins and losses don’t matter), and were buried by several legends, including JBL in one segment. How could they possibly be taken seriously after that?

The Ascension might not have much of a future on the main shows, despite being one of the best tag teams in NXT. Maybe they should’ve stayed there instead; at least they were given longer matches to take part in.

Final Rating: **
