WWE's Cedric Alexander understands comparisons to the old Nation Of Domination faction, but told TV Insider that there are key differences between that group and his Hurt Business stable today.

Alexander pointed out that the NOD was more about segregation and presenting themselves with "race as the driving force". Meanwhile, he, MVP, Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin are all real life friends who just so happen to be "strong black men".

They're not deliberately trying to force racism down people's throats. Instead, The Hurt Business lads want to showcase diversity on WWE television and do so in a positive manner; Cedric did also say that it's hard to ignore what's going on in the real world in 2020.

Sensitivity towards racial injustice is at an all-time high, and he's hopeful that most racism could be eradicated. For now though, the quartet are mainly focused on spreading a positive message that everyone should believe in themselves.

They're bad ass TV characters, but they're also a source of inspiration for young people who might not think they fit into today's society. "When you have four men with a positive goal in mind to succeed and be the best they can be, why not go for it?", Alexander said.
