With Corey Graves having previously been vocal about how he and CM Punk were no longer friends, the Saviour of Misbehaviour has now revealed how the pair have squashed whatever issues were between them.

Speaking to the legendary Bill Apter for Sportskeeda Wrestling (via POST Wrestling), Graves noted how he and Punk got to talk at the Royal Rumble and are once again on good terms.

As the SmackDown commentator explained:

"I am proud to report that it's all water under the bridge. It was actually at the Royal Rumble, I finally had the chance [to talk to Punk] in-person. I bumped into him briefly the night of Survivor Series a bit backstage, but it was chaotic. He had just come back, everything was at 11 at the moment. So, the day of the Royal Rumble, it's at Tropicana Field, I actually got to pull him aside for a few minutes and we cleared the air. [We] had a nice, long chat, we both apologised for some things over the years and realised [WWE] is where we both belong, this is where we both wanna be, and yeah, it's been a really exciting time for me personally to be able to rekindle a friendship that meant so much to me over the years, and I'm truly excited to have Punk back here under the WWE banner as just about anybody."

Nowadays medically cleared to wrestle should he want to step back between the ropes, Graves also listed CM Punk and Seth Rollins - two men he's wrestled several times - as opponents he'd like to face if he did make a return to the ring. Corey also named Gunther as a "personal favourite", but that he was in "no hurry" to square off with the hard-hitting Ring General.

Viewed as one of the most promising names as FCW transitioned to NXT, concussion issues unfortunately put an end to Corey Graves' in-ring career, with him having last wrestled in April 2014. 2022 saw it revealed that Graves had been removed from WWE's "no contact" list and that he'd been cleared to wrestle should he get the urge to lace up the boots again.
