WWE's Crystal Ball: 8 Predictions For Superstars In 2016
4. Cesaro Will Chip Away At The Glass Ceiling
The Swiss Superman might not break on through that invisible, metaphorical glass ceiling that Vince McMahon likes to throw around, nor will he grip that brass ring so tight that no one can pry it from him. What he will do, however, is prove McMahon wrong by connecting with the audience as a babyface challenger for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship before the year is through, and I have a feeling it will be sooner rather than later.
Cesaro is beloved for his superhuman feats of strength, being known as the most powerful pound-for-pound competitor in the WWE. While guys like Mark Henry have been known to pull off greater feats of strength, theyre also much larger than Cesaro is, making what he does on a weekly basis even more impressive. The Cesaro Section (or C-Section, if youre feeling cheeky) is filling out quite nicely in the face of McMahon, who has called out Cesaro in the past as needing to step his personality up. The tear-away suits are a step in the right direction, as the guy is quite fetching all cleaned up.
Is 2016 finally the year where Cesaro breaks out? Well, yes and no. He will finally star as a headliner for the biggest prize in all of wrestling, but it will likely be to make the likes of Roman Reigns look good. Its hard to have a bad match with Cesaro, and WWE brass knows this, so expect him to make Reigns look like a million bucks in a very competitive contest after going on to hold one of the mid-card titles in a series of feuds with more storyline-oriented opponents than AJ will.
