With AEW's Ricochet recently lambasting his time on the WWE main roster, comparing it to Thanos' infamous "snap" and the subsequent "blip" felt in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, there's now somewhat of an update on how these comments may have been received by those within WWE.

Not just did the One and Only take shots at his own main roster WWE run and the impact those five years had on his legacy, but he also mentioned the likes of Finn Balor, Apollo Crews, and Shinsuke Nakamura as other talents whose legacies had been tarnished in WWE. As Ricochet put it, "WWE kills legacies and love of the sport. It’s what they do best."

When asked during the latest Fightful Select Answers Q&A about how WWE wrestlers felt after these remarks, Sean Ross Sapp said he's not heard of any of those namedropped by Ricochet saying anything on the matter. SRS also added that talent generally doesn't care about stuff like this, and they understand that different people have different experiences in different companies. In fact, wrestlers think that those who take such comments as "life or death are total dorks." As for company higher-ups, it was said that they "definitely" don't like to hear such comments, as it's never a good look for them, regardless of which promotion is having shade thrown their way.

For Ricochet, he's enjoyed a successful spell since joining AEW in 2024, being featured in notable high-profile matches on PPV, and currently reigning as the inaugural AEW National Champion.
