Ali revealed he had been working through the torn PCL earlier this month. He recently told Wrestling Inc. that the injury would eventually require surgery and rehab, though it sounds like he is keen to put this on the backburner at the moment, continuing his televised role.
The same Wrestling Inc. interview also saw Ali state that WWE had previously agreed to run the RETRIBUTION break-up angle at WrestleMania 37 if he decided to work through the injury. The maligned stable ended up splitting at Fastlane 2021 instead, doing so after Mustafa's Kickoff Show loss to Riddle.
RETRIBUTION weren't present for any follow-up angles on this week's episode of Raw. There's currently no word on what the future may hold for Ali, Reckoning, T-Bar, Slapjack, and Mace now that they have split.
