WWE's RETRIBUTION Test Negative, Quarantining For 2 Weeks
Here's why RETRIBUTION weren't at Clash of Champions or Raw.
Members of WWE's divisive RETRIBUTION stable are currently quarantining for two weeks after coming into contact with somebody who had tested positive for COVID-19.
Dave Meltzer reported on the Sunday Night's Main Event podcast that RETRIBUTION missed Clash of Champions 2020 as they weren't "medically cleared to compete," matching WWE's own explanation for why Shayna Baszler, Nia Jax, and Nikki Cross were pulled from the show. Pro Wrestling Sheet's Ryan Satin then came through with a follow-up report:-
Assuming RETRIBUTION's quarantine started somewhere between last week's episode of Raw and Clash of Champions, the group should be able to return to WWE programming for the 12 October episode of Raw. This would be the final night of the 2020 Draft.
RETRIBUTION were barely mentioned on last night's Raw, with a short video package of their recent actions their only contribution to the show.
Last week brought reports that people within WWE were worried that the recent COVID-19 outbreak at the WWE Performance Center could spread to the main roster via RETRIBUTION members. There is no indication that this is the case here, though WWE using PC trainees to pad the group's ranks bred those concerns.
