WWE's Sami Zayn Puts WAY More Thought Into His Hair Than You'd Think

Sami Zayn's wild look on WWE SmackDown isn't just laziness or coincidence.

Sami Zayn's current hair and beard are inspired by Bill Murray in 'Kingpin' and Bret Hart.

The former Intercontinental Champ went in-depth on his wild presentation during a chat with FOX Sports, and said that way more thought went into it than fans might think. In fact, Sami purposely let his hair and beard grow bushy so it'd give his heel gimmick an immediately "crazy" vibe.

He likened it to Murray's 'Ernie McCracken' character, then also revealed that he always loved the way Bret's hair would get frizzy during tough matches - it's the little things that matter, and Zayn is a master of using them.

There is, however, a more personal reason for the long locks.

Sami admitted to FOX that he's going bald, and that he wanted to try out having long hair whilst he still could. WWE are cool with the look, but Zayn added that he probably wouldn't present himself this way if he was playing babyface.

It's better-suited to a delusional heel, he thinks. Few fans would argue with that, because Sami has been entertaining as hell during this recent run.
