WWE's Stephanie McMahon To Make 'Historic Announcement' On Raw

Is an all-women's PPV on the cards?

WWE yesterday plugged via their Twitter account that Chief Brand Officer and on-screen Raw commissioner is scheduled to appear at in Cincinnati, OH this Monday to make an 'historic announcement' on the red brand.

Pro Wrestling Sheet recently broke that the company were in advanced discussions for a women's division exclusive pay-per-view later this autumn. Given Steph's recent track record in unveiling both the women's Royal Rumble and Elimination Chamber matches - part of her ongoing campaign to take credit for the invention of women's wrestling - an announcement along similar lines seems eminently likely.

Or she could unveil the next recipient of WWE's Legacy of Excellence Award. Here comes the money.

McMahon has been absent from Raw since appointing Baron Corbin back in May as the show's 'constable' to keep an eye on the frankly useless GM Kurt Angle. Assuming Steph is on hand in Ohio to promote the latest chapter in WWE's admittedly excellent if nakedly self-serving 'women's revolution', she'll be in full babyface PR mode - but that probably won't stop her delivering a rebuke or two later on the show. You just never know.

Raw comes to Cincinnati's U.S. Bank Arena this Monday. Check back for more details as they emerge.

He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
