WWF WrestleMania 14: 10 Things We Learned

6. The Rock Is The Next Big Thing

This has been brewing for a bit, but it was really evident at WrestleMania. The Rock is going to be a star. Ever since shedding his dorky Rocky Maivia gimmick, The Rock has quite literally become an overnight sensation. Gone are the tassles and the stupid haircut. Replacing them is a cocky attitude and an awesome finishing move, The Rock Bottom. Of course we want to see The Rock get his comeuppance at the hands of Ken Shamrock, but we also can€™t help but be impressed by what Maivia brings to the table. WWF must feel the same way, as though they had Shamrock beat (Not Sham) Rock at the PPV, they reversed the decision, awarding The Rock the DQ victory and allowing him to retain the Intercontinental Championship. If this match was any indication, it would not be much of a surprise if The Rock was headlining The Granddaddy Of Them All next year.
