The Wyatt Family May Be Splitting Up Soon

The start of the angle began on this past Monday's Raw.

There were two vignettes on Monday's Raw featuring the Wyatt Family. The focus of the video was about how Bray Wyatt, the leader of the group, saved Luke Harper from the terrible life he was living and gave him a purpose in life. It put over the idea that Wyatt is a manipulator that has people following him. We know about Harper and his partner Erick Rowan since the group has been featured on WWE television for over a year now. They were also together in NXT prior to their main roster debut last summer. According to a report from PWInsider, the backstage news from Raw is that the group will be going their separate ways. The report notes that it's not a sure thing that anybody in the group will receive a push right away, but the Raw promos suggest that Luke Harper will be "set free" meaning that it's definitely a possibility for him in the near future. The plan is for Wyatt, Harper and Rowan to work apart in the near future instead of as a group like they have been. The other bit of interesting news is that while none of them are guaranteed to be going babyface soon, there has been speculation that Wyatt might turn babyface. It could just be one of those things where WWE has decided that since Wyatt gets cheered a lot by the fans that he may end up going face. Look at how the fans wave their phones in the air during his entrance. They also sing along when he sings "he's got the whole world in his hands" and he gets cheered for a lot of his signature spots, especially the creepy spider walk. If he goes heel he might not be as cool because babyface tend to be boring, but at this point WWE may feel like he's already acting like a babyface. When Harper and Rowan were feuding with The Usos for several months, a lot of people expected them to win the tag titles. Their matches were awesome, yet they failed to get the job done. There had to be a reason for that and apparently now we know because Harper is probably going to be a singles wrestler in the near future. Of the two Wyatt Family members, he's better in the ring than Rowan. While Rowan can do all the basics needed for a big guy, Harper's a terrific all around worker that has a lot of great moves in his arsenal. http://youtu.be/DCRZ6PzMu2s While no specific timetable has been given as to when the group might split up, who might end up babyface and if they would feud right away, the wheels were set in motion on Raw. The timing is interesting because the group hasn't been featured that much in the last month, so this is WWE's way of resetting things for them. Perhaps future Wyatt Family videos will offer more clues. It's definitely something to keep our eyes on.
