With Austin's star burning more brightly each and every week, he was quickly perceived as the baddest son of a bitch on the planet. Then in January 1998, Vince McMahon paid top dollar (reportedly $3 million) to have Mike Tyson come in for a series of angles. You now had the baddest man on the planet and the baddest "sumbitch" on the planet under the same roof... things were going to get explosive! The angle on the January 19th Raw was exactly that, with Austin and Tyson having a face off in the ring. Tyson's crew and WWF officials swarmed the scene, as tensions slowly started to boil over. Inevitably a shoving match ensued after a series of verbals from Austin, resulting in one of the great pull apart brawls in wrestling history. Holy s***, indeed.
