DOWNS…

6. More Masked Foolishness

WWE Raw El Grande Americano
WWE

Can we please put this El Grande Americano stuff to bed?

The original version of the masked luchador – we’ll just call him “Chad Gable” – wrestled Rayo Americano – we’ll call him “Pete Dunne” – while the taller El Grande – let’s go with “Ludwig Kaiser” – looked on.

The match itself wasn’t bad at all, but the action was undermined by the constant “I’m going to unmask this Americano!” between everyone, finally ending when Rayo collided with Bravo Americano – call him “Tyler Bate” – and the OG Americano hit a Chaos Theory suplex for the win.

Decent little match, but it’s hard to invest in anything in this Americano Universe because all of it just seems like one big-time suck. At some point, they’ll either have an unmasking or they’ll just randomly drop it because they missed the “high point” of the storyline.
