Bret Hart has had eleven SummerSlam matches, with an admirable record of seven wins and four victories. However, an asterisk should be included, as one of his matches was the Team WWE versus The Nexus at SummerSlam 2010. While it was nice for Hart to be included in that main event, he was 53 years old and a bit part player. What can't be disputed is his ten matches during his eighties and nineties peak. He was right there at the very first SummerSlam, as part of The Hart Foundation tag team with Jim Neidhart. His SummerSlam 1992 match against The British Bulldog at Wembley Stadium was arguably the best WWF match of all time at that point, and filled Wembley with 80,000 raucous British fans. His final proper match was at SummerSlam 97, defeating The Undertaker for the WWF Championship. It was a creative decision which ultimately resulted in the Montreal screwjob just a few months later.
