It is almost surprising to see Shawn Michaels only at number six on this list, given that he is so associated with so many fantastic SummerSlam moments. Whether it was the ladder match with Razor Ramon at SummerSlam 1995, or the glorious comeback against Triple H at SummerSlam 2002, there's a definite argument that Michaels has had the best matches in SummerSlam history. Even his not-so-great SummerSlam matches are still career highlights. His memorable over-selling against Hulk Hogan at SummerSlam 2005 was priceless. With eleven matches, he's absolutely one of the stars of SummerSlam, but it doesn't quite equal his Mr WrestleMania status.
