You WON'T Be Seeing This WWE Star On TV For A While

This major WWE star is set for some time off; injuries wrecked company's plans anyway.

The Wrestling Observer reports that WWE star Ronda Rousey is expected to take some time away from the company very soon.

This news comes amidst the messy cancellation of Ronda and Shayna Baszler's proposed Women's Tag-Team Title success. Dave Meltzer had previously reported that both women were supposed to bag those belts at WrestleMania 39, but then injuries derailed WWE's plans completely.

Another recent injury suffered by Liv Morgan has also put a spanner in the works - she's been forced to vacate the titles alongside partner Raquel Rodgriguez, and WWE will crown new champs soon. The calamitous lineage of those straps continues, basically.

Ronda was supposed to take some time off before 'Mania (pre-injury). That was postponed, but looks like it'll still happen ASAP. This would seemingly rule she and Baszler out of the hunt for the vacated titles, but could mean they'll be challengers for the belts later on in the year.

There's no word on exactly how long Rousey's sabbatical will be, or if there's scope for her to postpone it again. It does look like Ronda will be off TV for a while.
