With WWE currently laying the foundations for next month's Money in the Bank PLE, one of last night's MITB qualifying matches saw Zoey Stark suffer an unfortunate injury.

For Zoey, she faced off against Rhea Ripley and the returning Kairi Sane on WWE Raw in a triple-threat bout ultimately won by Ripley. But that Rhea win was only half the story here.

Mid-match, Stark went for a missile dropkick on Kairi, but it became immediately apparent that something was wrong as Zoey landed. On a rewatch, it's clear that the 31-year-old had a horrific landing on her knee, causing her to scream in agony as the match was put on hold while WWE medical staff checked on Stark.

The contest would continue with Kairi Sane and Rhea Ripley, but Zoey Stark was assisted to the back, with a member of the medical team eventually having to carry her from the ringside area.

Zoey was immediately taken to a local hospital, with Michael Cole speculating that she may have reaggravated previous knee issues. For those unaware, Stark tore her ACL, MCL, and meniscus back in 2021.

Footage of this injury can be found below, but be warned of the graphic nature of this footage.

Last night's appearance was Zoey Stark's first Raw match since January, where she and Shayna Baszler lost to IYO SKY and Dakota Kai, although Stark and Baszler were part of the SmackDown gauntlet match last month for a shot at the Women's Tag Team Titles at WrestleMania 41. That gauntlet offering would be won by Bayley and Lyra Valkyria, with Bayley being attacked by Becky Lynch at 'Mania as the Man instead teamed with Lyra to win tag gold.

For Zoey Stark, that Raw triple-threat represented somewhat of a fresh start for the former NXT Women's Tag Team Champion. While Zoey started the year as one-third of Pure Fusion Collective, WWE opted to let Sonya Deville's contract expire in February, while Shayna Baszler was one of those released by the company earlier this month. As such, Stark now found herself looking to make a mark as a singles act.

There is no word right now on the severity of Zoey's injury. All of us here at WhatCulture Wrestling send our best wishes to her at this time.
