10 Batman Sidekicks Everyone Forgets

9. Ace The Bathound

While it'd be tempting to also include the Bat-Cow in this entry, she is notably less involved in combat than her canine brother, Ace, who is perhaps best known for being a brief (but beloved) part of the Batman animated cartoon.

Ace was a staple of the earlier Batman comics, helping them save the day countless time, but he would be written out of the universe in the sixties, replaced briefly with an unnamed dog with a mysterious bat symbol in its fur.

After many other furry pals joined the Batfamily - most notably Titus, Damian's beloved pet pooch - Ace would be reintroduced in Batman Annual #1, where he would be a dog turned savage by the Joker, who Alfred would then domesticate to be a loyal member of the family.

I like my comics like I like my coffee - in huge, unquestionably unhealthy doses.
