2. Deathcry
Deathcry is probably the only Avenger who even nobody within the story wanted to join the team.
Deathcry was a member of the Shi'ar who was stripped of her real name for an unknown reason. She was ordered to join the team by Empress Lilandra to protect them against the Kree.
The main problem with Deathcry is that she hits all the terrible '90s character cliches. Her name sounded stupid and made no sense, she had a bad attitude towards everyone and everything, and her design looked like the aftermath of a bus full of Star Trek cosplayers crashing into an Image Comics convention.
Even her death was as stupid as her entire life. While teaming up with Captain Universe (a different one than on this list), she got irrationally angry at him for stealing her kills and attacked him. Captain Universe made a ball of energy to protect himself and, like a doofus, Deathcry punched it, dying in the resulting explosion.
She was later temporarily resurrected as part of a group of Dead Avengers. She revealed that she was actually the daughter of Lilandra's evil sister Deathbird and that she had been stripped of her name after killing someone in a drunken brawl.
Basically every bad thing that ever happened to Deathbird was her own fault.
