7. Wolverine First Appeared In A Hulk Comic

While the Hulk's comic books have never been massive sellers for Marvel like some of their other equally recognisable characters, his series is responsible for introducing one of the world's popular superheroes. Wolverine made his debut in the pages of The Incredible Hulk #181 as a pretty anonymous agent for the Canadian government sent to try and take both Hulk and The Wendigo down. This battle has left a long standing tension between the two characters, but it signalled big things for Logan; he followed up his appearance here and in the subsequent issue by taking on a leading role in the iconic Giant-Size X-Men #1.
