5 Mutants That Have Never Been X-Men (But Should Sign Up)

Exodus is a former member of Magneto's Acolytes and Mister Sinister's Marauders and was last seen attacking Wolverine at the Jean Grey Institute and then Cyclops on Utopia, blaming them for leaving the mutant community in a weakened position following the events of Schism. Exodus has a diverse power set, being empowered by En Sabah Nur himself, Apocalypse. He can fly, is both telepathic and telekinetic, can heal himself and empower others within the vicinity. He can also use his powers simultaneously making him really effective in combat situations. Exodus' motives are the protection and preservation of the mutant species, similar to Cyclops' current Uncanny X-Men team which also features his previous commander, Magneto. Exodus in many ways is similar to Magneto, in that they are not evil villains and they ultimately have their peoples best interests at heart. If he were to join Cyclops, he could help to shape the future of the mutant race, something that I am sure Exodus would be very interested in doing. His powers and previous loyalties mean that he could interact with the majority of the team. I can see Exodus having physic conversations with Emma Frost and the Cuckoos and jostling with Magneto and Cyclops over what is right for the continuation and protection of their species. Exodus being on the team would also allow writers to hold a mirror up to Magneto and his changed ways. Both are former leaders of the Brotherhood of Mutants and the Acolytes. Both would be reforming and trying to do the right thing. This would readers to have a light shone on the differences and ask if Magneto is as reformed as he says he is. Could Exodus show him up with his attitude towards what Cyclops is looking to do and his scary combat skills? Could Magneto become a guide for Exodus and show us readers how far he has come personally since he joined the X-Men? On the flip side, Exodus could be instrumental in helping the Uncanny team fix and retrain their mutant powers. For these reasons and for the team to have a heavy hitter without broken powers, I think it would be interesting to see Exodus as a member of the Uncanny X-Men.
