What Happened To Everyone Who Used Cerebro?
9. Jean Grey
Jean Grey is the most powerful telepathic person on planet Earth, which is why she is so often targeted by the Phoenix Force. Thanks to some mind-altering shenanigans by Professor X, her powers have been subdued at various points during her life.
In the first X-Men film, Jean mentioned that she didn't have a mind capable of using Cerebro properly. When she was forced to try and use it, the feedback surged into her head and knocked her out, proving she wasn't capable of using it.
The thing is though, she uses it all the time in the comics. Not only the comics but also in video games and cartoons... Jean is all over Cerebro to the point that she has even used a modified version while in the field.
To help enhance her powers, she has strapped a helmet onto her head and gone into battle, all with the help of Cerebro. In other cases, she has used it in the same manner as Xavier. While it was designed by and for the Professor, Jean has proven time and time again that she is fully capable of operating the device... just not so much on the silver screen as in the comics.
