3. She Worked As A Stripper To Prepare For Her Role In Welcome To The Rileys
Kristen Stewart has been described as something akin to a "method actor," and is renowned for the obsessive nature of immersion that she attempts to inflict on each and every one of her roles in order to draw out the best and most realistic performances. An example of this dedication can seen in the little-seen film Welcome to the Rileys, starring James Gandolfini and Melissa Leo, in which Stewart played a 16-year-old stripper. To prepare for her role as down-on-her-luck Mallory, Stewart learned to pole dance, and also spent three nights dancing on top of a bar in a real club in order to properly absorb the mindset that goes hand in hand with such a profession. You don't really get to see much pole dancing in the final cut of the movie, but it's good to know that Stewart went all out to ensure that she really connected with her character.
