7. Bioshock Christopher Nolan
Video Game: Very few games play with themes better than Bioshock. Set in a secluded dystopia known as Rapture found under the ocean, we follow a character (depending on what game it is) as they fight their way through mutated superhuman foes and the infamous Big Daddies to discover the truth behind the history of Rapture. Immersive and in-depth, the storyline is beyond many games out there, as the character tries to figure out whose bidding you may or may not be doing.
Director: When it came to choosing a director for Bioshock, I tried to take into account the usual mind-bending revelations the franchise is known for and the very specific atmosphere of steam-punk in the early to mid 20th century. Nolan came to mind. A director that really does not need an introduction, Nolan could level up the already fantastic story of Bioshock to add even more layers to the solid narrative. Nolan is indeed known for his vision and attention to detail, and if he really gets to know Bioshock, he could bring Rapture to life.
