10 Wrestler Movie Cameos You Totally Missed
7. Steve Austin - Grown Ups 2
Steve Austin is one of the biggest icons in the history of the wrestling business. Bridging the gap between Hulk Hogan and John Cena, Austin was the face of the Attitude Era and defined wrestling for a generation of fans.
With such a huge level of celebrity, Austin achieved an almost unparalleled fan following worldwide, which put him in good stead when his in-ring days were finally over. Featuring predominantly in "straight to DVD" movies, 'Stone Cold' went on to have a fairly successful run as an action movie star between 2005 and 2015.
After supporting roles in The Longest Yard with Adam Sandler and The Expendables with Sly Stallone, Austin largely left acting behind to pursue podcasting in 2013 - but not before showing up in one more high profile movie on the silver screen.
Cast in the role of Tommy Cavanaugh in Grown Ups 2, Austin paired up with Adam Sandler once again and essentially played himself... and did a damn fine job of doing it too. Appearing in a number of scenes in the movie, Austin was right in his comfort zone as the straight shooting badass and his interactions with Sandler's character made for great comedy viewing.
