Here's one of the most intriguing almost-castings; Aaron Taylor-Johnson auditioned to play Peeta. Can you imagine him getting all romantic with a Chloë Grace Moretz Katniss? Just weird. Although the real issue is that he's just not as much a fit as Josh Hutcherson - Aaron's a great actor, just not right for the role. Evan Peters, Johnson's on-screen best bud in Kick-Ass, also auditioned and although he's typically a goofier actor, he'd have been a better fit for Peeta than that film's star. Taylor-Johnson's career hasn't really been hurt by missing out. He the central (if much maligned by the movie's critics) role in Godzilla and will appear as Quicksilver in Avengers: Age Of Ultron, which is set to be one of the biggest movies of 2015.
