Lyndsy Fonseca is best known as a central element of a show she was barely a part of - she was one of Ted's long-suffering children in How I Met Your Mother. Given that her involvement in the show was finished way back in 2006 (the scene in the finale with the kids was shot ahead of time to combat ageing), Fonseca has been hunting for a more note-worthy big break. Jumping off the success of action TV drama Nikita, Fonseca became a popular name linked to central hero, according to interviews making it to the final few, going as far as doing extended acting work with the director. Things could have got really weird had David Henrie, who played her on screen brother in HIMYM and auditioned for Gale, got his part too - we'd have had The Fault In Our Stars levels of awkwardness.
