In Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol, we see the IMF team doing blah blah blah in the Burj Khalifa because blah blah blah.
Come on, let's face it. None of us watch Mission: Impossible for the plot. We watch it to see what insanity Tom Cruise will endure to entertain us. In the fourth entry of the series, we see his character Ethan Hunt having to scale the outside of the Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world. The best part is, he actually did it. While he is attached to the building by safety wires (removed in post-production) it's still terrifying watching him climb it.
Better yet, egged on by the insanity of their co-star, the rest of the cast dropped their stunt doubles for the scenes inside/outside the building (despite having a scene where they're fighting next to a huge gaping hole in the wall).
Not yet satisfied that what he'd done was dangerous enough, he proceeded to climb to the top. And sit on it.
