4. White Russian - The Big Lebowski
Joel and Ethan Coen's 90s classic The Big Lebowski follows a loafer and a bowling enthusiast who gets tied up in a case of mistaken identity with a millionaire of the same name. The film went on to become and still is, a cult hit. Despite its poor performance and mixed reviews at the time of its release, the film is now affectionately praised for its idiosyncratic style and quirky characters. Just like a fine wine that gets better with age; this film gets better with each viewing. The Big Lebowski stars John Goodman, Steve Buscemi and of course Jeff Bridges, most favourably known as The Dude", who favours the velvety cocktail and has since become the signature drink of the iconic character. Fans can reminiscence about The Dudes distinctive style amidst his habit of either making or consuming a White Russian over the course of the film with his tranquil style, dark sunglasses and taste for bowling. In fact the dude consumes nine White Russians during the course of the entire movie. The Dude is a character who has become a cultural idol and has even been the influence in creating an online religion known as Dudeism that was founded in 2005 and largely devotes itself to spreading the characters philosophy and lifestyle.
